‘RACE ACROSS THE SKY’ BIG HIT ACROSS USA

There was a lot of hype leading up to the Leadville 100 documentary ‘Race Across The Sky’. Never before has a mtb race been covered to this extent with moto bikes, helicopters, and camera men on foot at 12,000 ft. Last night, in 460 theaters across the USA, fans of cycling
got to experience what it is like to race against Lance Armstrong & Dave Wiens in one of the most grueling off road competitions of its kind in the world.

Ergon was represented at showings in Atlanta, Boulder, and Los Angeles. All 3 locations, as well as the other 457 locations across the USA were packed solid. Mountain bikers of all ages and abilities came to take part in this one night event.

As well as a huge showing in Boulder. In fact, Boulder had every seat filled as well.

Race Across The Sky - ATLAtlanta had a packed showing as well, along with some much needed pre-event screening beverages hosted by Topeak-Ergon team members Eddie and Namrita Odea

Regardless of your role in the sport of mtbing, you should go see this. There is more to the movie than Dave vs. Lance. It is emotional and will leave you with a lump in your throat. The back stories are touching…all the way from a lady who comes back after being hit by a car during training….to the man who doesn’t make the cut off check point.

Race Across the Sky showing in Boulder, COThe filming of the movie in HD along with superior sound make this a hottest thing going right now for mtbing on film. If you missed out, no worries! There is talk of a 2nd screening in November as well as a DVD release.
